Ludo 2023

Equal parts Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Petit Verdot and Shiraz grown in the Mudgee hills. Ludo is an Italian-style table wine; 2 weeks whole bunch ferment with natural yeasts, basket press followed by 8 months in glass demijohns. This process allows gentle oxidation without imparting any additional flavours from wood or other materials, resulting in a pure expression of the grape characteristics. The result is a wine bursting with fruity vibes while holding a dry edge. This bad boy boasts a medley of berry sensations—think blackcurrant, blueberry, and cherry. The smooth, slippery texture slides over the palate like a summer breeze, leaving you dreaming of lazy afternoons, kicking back in the park or vibing at a chill hang. Goes well with a slight chill. There’s a hint of funky goodness on the nose at first opening which should dissipate with a bit of an air, adding some complexity to your sipping session. Ludo is the perfect companion for those chill hangs and relaxed rooftop gatherings.
